Width is the wall. Sixteen of the eighteen stop at 36 cm, and a 40 cm bag — the shape sold across Europe — clears none of the Thai carriers.

15 carriers also publish a personal-item box| Code | Airline | Cabin box | Cabin kg | Second bag | Note |

| CX | Cathay Pacific | 56 × 36 × 23 cm | 7 kg | 40 × 30 × 10 cm | The frame is generous; the seven kilos is what the gate weighs. |
| BR | EVA Air | 56 × 36 × 23 cm | 7 kg | 40 × 30 × 10 cm | Taipei bound. Two pieces, 7 kg together. |
| CI | China Airlines | 56 × 36 × 23 cm | 7 kg | 40 × 30 × 10 cm | Same envelope as EVA. Personal item must fit under the seat. |
| KE | Korean Air | 55 × 40 × 20 cm | 10 kg | 40 × 30 × 15 cm | Ten kilos, but only 20 cm deep — the tightest depth on the board. |
| NH | ANA | 55 × 40 × 25 cm | 10 kg | 40 × 30 × 15 cm | Ten kilos and 25 cm of depth. The most forgiving frame to Tokyo. |

The counter
Pick while you walk. The basket holds a list on this device, and one button at the end turns that list into an Amazon.sg cart — where the stock is real, the address is yours and the payment is Amazon's business.
This page charges nothing and asks for no card. The list stays put until you clear site data.

At the gate
It does. The plastic box at the gate takes the whole bag, so a wheel set and a loaded side pocket sit inside the number. A shell advertised as 55 cm often lands at 58 once the bag is dressed.
Five of the six Thai carriers draw the same box: 56 × 36 × 23 cm. The European shape is 55 × 40 × 20, and those extra four centimetres of width fail every one of them at the gate.
Qatar Airways, at 50 × 37 × 25 cm. Fifty centimetres of length rejects most 55 cm cabin bags before depth is even considered.
Amazon.sg settles in Singapore dollars, so that is the figure on the card. The baht line is only a reading aid, converted at 26.5 and moving with the market.
It writes the bag's code into a list on this device. At the counter page that list becomes a single link into the Amazon.sg cart; everything after that link is Amazon's.
More often than the airlines announce. Each row was taken from the carrier's own page in November 2026, and the board is re-read every quarter — but the airline's page is always a step ahead of ours.
